|Strong Points – Subjects||Sacred Heart College provides an environment which enables personal excellence. Our curriculum reflects the New Zealand curriculum within a wider philosophy of gospel values. Years 9 and 10 offer breadth of learning which allows for specialisation in the senior school according to ability, interests and possible future career paths. Religious Studies is a central component at all levels. We are proud of our results in NCEA, exceeding National averages at all levels. Learning is embedded in strong relationships and anchored in high expectations. Small class sizes allow for high levels of support and teacher interaction. E-learning is an integral element of teaching and learning in our quest to equip all students with the skills required beyond school.|
|Strong Points – Sports||At Sacred Heart College we view sport as an important component in the holistic development of young women. High expectations of perseverance, goal-setting and commitment develop character and life skills which lead to success in sport, school and life. Netball, hockey, badminton, football, volleyball, touch rugby, tennis and canoe polo are offered.|
|Strong Points – Cultural||At Sacred Heart College we offer many wonderful opportunities for students to explore their creative and cultural interests, e.g. music, visual arts, cultural groups, drama, debating, public speaking, and an arts festival.|
|Other Unique Features||The small nature of our College ensures that students mix readily with others from different year levels. The ‘sisterhood’ concept of an extended family among students, was initiated by senior students, and is lived out daily and promoted throughout the school.|
|Special Facilities||The school has wireless wifi and modern refurbished facilities in all curriculum areas. We have views out to Cape Kidnappers and the Kawekas, from the mountains to the sea.|
|Accommodation||The school arranges homestays in a New Zealand home.|
